Imagined as a radio station operating from the room where Adolf Hitler was born, The Hit House focuses on the ecstasy of yesterday. Transmitting short, aggressively optimistic musical bursts from morning until evening, the station covers architectural proposals, attempts to analyze the microclimate of Hitler's birth room, and provides a space for local advertisement. Part sound sculpture, part broadcast, The Hit House asks whether buildings, artifacts, and songs can really answer the questions we keep throwing at the past, and if our hunger to be right risks stopping culture in its beautifully ambiguous tracks.
While we run backward, sideways, and sometimes in sync with yesterday, The Hit House wonders if we've forgotten about ourselves today. No need to mistake the past with fate, just tune into Salzburger Vorstadt no. 15!
Because nobody boogies with the past like The Hit House.
